Oh Amy. What have you done to yourself?
Since Jennifer White posted the scariest pic of Amy Winehouse EVER, I thought I would be the “yang” to her “ying” post the most amazing Amy Winehouse pic… Amy before the crack, Blake, tats, charcoal eyeliner, blood stained ballet flats, flesh eating disease and that chinchilla that sits on top of her head where she probably stores her afore mentioned eyeliner, crack and for all we know Blake is stuffed up in there too.

OK, the weekend is almost here, so it’s time to slack off around the office. There’s no need to do any work today when you can put it off ’til Monday!!…or better yet, tell your co-workers you’re swamped!! Maybe they’ll pitch in and help you…
It’s time for a Left Brain, Right Brain Challenge:
While sitting at your desk, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles.
Now, while doing this, draw the number “6″ in the air with your right hand.
Your foot will change direction and there’s nothing you can do about it!!
Have an (some) adult beverage(s) and you’ll soon forget that you spent the better part of an hour trying to get your foot not to change direction! :) Have a rad weekend!!
Tony
PS — Join me weeknights @ 9 for Sophie’s Challenge!! 2 new songs, you decide the winner. vote at radiosophie.com.

It’s no secret that John Mayer is a bit of a smartass, so it should come as no surprise that this is what he sent as an error report to Apple:

WOW. This is just sad…and totally scary. I mean, I can’t even begin to understand how her face got like this.
Obviously, drugs had something to do with it, but doesn’t Amy have anyone to keep her in check?
Someone to give her a little Neosporin or CHECK HER BACK INTO REHAB????
Hm. I guess not.

The Lloyd’s of London insurance market has insured the nose of a leading wine maker and taster for 5 million euros ($7.9 million), covering the Bordeaux producer against the loss of his nose and sense of smell.
Lloyd’s is famous for creating policies for giant corporations but also for insuring celebrity limbs, from Fred Astaire’s legs to the hands of Rolling Stones’ Keith Richards.
It said on Tuesday that Ilja Gort, the Dutch owner of Chateau de la Garde in Bordeaux, producer of Tulipe Wines, said his nose could distinguish millions of different scents and was essential to guarantee the quality of his wines.
“The nose and sense of smell of a winemaker are as important as the fingers of a chef,” Jonathan Thomas, lead underwriter at Watkins Syndicate who co-insured the policy.
Lloyds worked with Allianz Nederland and British reinsurance broker Benfield to create the policy, co-insured by Watkins.
Gort’s will not be the first nose insured by Lloyd’s, which famously insured U.S. comedian Jimmy Durante’s trademark. It also insures the taste buds of restaurateur Egon Ronay.

So today is St. Pat’s…and it’s a Monday. Due to the fact that you have a job to go to tomorrow morning, excessive green-beer-drinking is probably not on your agenda. You can still get festive with a Guinness cake!

My friend MJ got this recipe from Oprah’s website, and we made cupcakes from it last night. They turned out great– very rich and chocolate-y. We did make the frosting green, though, ’cause we’re cheezy like that.
INGREDIENTS
16 T. butter (1/2 lb.)
1 cup dark brown sugar
1 cup sugar
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon cardamom
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 2/3 cups flour
3/4 cup cocoa
1 cup Guinness® stout
6 eggs
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 pounds confectioner’s sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
In a bowl, cream together the butter and both sugars. In another bowl, mix together the baking powder, spices, salt, flour and cocoa. At the very last moment, add the Guinness to the eggs. (Don’t let it sit too long, or the alcohol will begin to cook the eggs!)
Add half of the dry ingredients to the butter and sugar mixture and blend, then add half of the wet ingredients. Repeat this process until all the ingredients are combined.
Pre-heat the oven to 350°, and line the bottom of at least two 9-inch diameter cake pans with wax paper. (Use as many layers as you like for your own cake.) Divide the batter between pans, and bake until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean, about 25 minutes. Cool cakes in pans for about 10 minutes, then turn them out onto a wire rack and peel off the wax paper. Let the layers cool completely before frosting.
In a bowl, beat together the cream cheese and butter until mixed, then beat in the sugar. Finally, add the vanilla.
Place one cake layer, bottom side up, on a platter. Spread with frosting, then top with another layer, bottom side down. Repeat with each layer, then spread the remaining frosting smoothly over the top and sides of the cake.

Residents in Lubbock, Texas have something to smile about… or maybe not. They have the worst teeth in the nation.
That’s according to a new study in an upcoming issue of “Men’s Health” magazine. The publication ranked 100 large cities in America and Lubbock is the number one city with the worst teeth. El Paso is in the top ten, and Dallas and San Antonio fall into the top one-hundred. Lubbock blames the high level of fluoride in the water, as well as the rising cost of dental care. Some of the cities at the top of the list for best teeth are Madison, Wisconsin and Nashville, Tennessee. San Diego came in at #29…
