John,

I have to say that I can identify with you on many levels, but it takes a true human being to be to say it out loud.

I believe each individual person should be true to themselves and not be afraid to admit to their friends and loved ones who they truly are and how they really feel about everything that goes on everyday.

I also believe that it takes just few people to stand up and "I'm not afraid to do or say something", to get people thinking.

I really commend and applaud you, someone who lives their life in the public eye most of the time, to write some stuff down, and say "hey this is who I am, this is how I feel, take it or leave it".

We, as human beings, should always be true to ourselves, only then can we be true to others. being honest with ourselves about who we are and what direction our lives will take is up to us.

John,

I am not really one to read "celebrity" blogs but your music always finds it's way into my heart or mind respectively, so I decided to read what you have to say. You seem to be a true and honest person, I struggle with these same insecurities as does every other person to one degree or another. I am painfully shy around others, but I know myself, I know my talents and in my own heart I am proud of them.

The way I try to rationalise my insecurities is by explaining to myself that I am who I am, I can only do my best when I try and if others don't enjoy who I truly am then they aren't people I need in my life and their opinion should not affect me. Surround yourself with people who appreciate you for your flaws as well as your most fantastic abilities, people who are interested in what you have to offer and are willing to share what they too have learned.

If you can live as your last few sentences outline you will bring peace and happiness toyourself and all who those you share yourself with.
